Introduction of Ching Lok

Service Objectives

The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG) has three kindergartens, Ching Lok Kindergarten in Sai Wan Ho and Yau Ma Tei, and KK Cheng Kindergarten in Ngau Tau Kok, providing early childhood education and care services for children aged 2-6.

The kindergartens focus on the development and growth needs of students and the quality of learning and teaching. Through a variety of learning and project-based learning models, the kindergartens aim to stimulate students to take the initiative to learn and explore, experiment and discover in an encouraging environment. Under the careful guidance of teachers, students enjoy learning through discussions, visits, sharing and experiments.

Programme Features

We emphasise the learning process and cultivate an active learning attitude in our children. The kindergarten focuses on picture book teaching. Children learn through thinking, observing, exploring, collecting information, sharing, reporting and discussing. In addition to individual picture books, science and art elements will be added to provide children with multiple learning opportunities. Through different learning activities, we actively cultivate children’s interest in reading and language learning. We also emphasise home-school collaboration and encourage parental participation to provide a positive learning environment for children to grow up healthily.
